I reflected on a literacy course I had taken for diverse learners with disabilities. Developing lesson plans were part of the assigned coursework. Included in each assignment my professor added a challenge: Your lesson will be graded on “the fun factor.” I spent a great deal of time thinking about creating literacy lessons that were not only effective, but lessons that were also fun.
